Limited Edition Pine Cone in Bronze Pine Cone sees James draw on inspiration from maths and nature; focussing on the details that capture the essence of a form whilst omitting other ‘less important’ subtleties. Look closely at the humble pine cone and you’ll find intricately formed spirals in both clockwise and counter clockwise directions. The number of spirals in opposing directions are almost always consecutive values in a Fibonacci sequence. These spirals and the precisely formed pentahedrons which recede in the negative space are where his focus lies with this sculpture. Pine Cone is available in sizes from 12.6 cm to monumental scale (size pictured - 130 cm in height).
